My system keeps starting in safe mode only.

Safe mode is a special startup sequence during which only files and drivers required for Windows to operate get loaded. This mode comes in handy while troubleshooting any of the Windows components. Sometimes certain problematic drivers or services can cause Windows to start in safe mode. To restore your system back to normal mode here’s what you could do:

  • Click on Start Go to Run and type in msconfig.
  • In the System Configuration Utilities Window, click on the BOOT.INI tab.
  • In the window that opens, make sure that the /Safeboot box is unchecked.
  • Click on Apply.

  • Now click on the General tab.
  • Make sure that the Normal Startup has been enabled. Click on OK.

Restart your system now. It should startup in Normal mode.
